Red, white and blue was the theme of the Simply Create Too Blog June Challenge. These are not colours that I would normally put together, but that is the fun part of being on a design team. I decided to play with embossing powders and stencils. I used a Debbi Moore stencil for the background with a red glitter embossing powder. This produced a lovely shabby chic look.

I decided that the white would be a flower. Tattered Lace flower decoupage dies are perfect for this as they have enough detail that no colour is needed.

I did learn one thing making this card, that I should have added another layer. A small white layer between the embossed section and the card would have added a whole new look. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I am still quite pleased with the final card.
